KOKORO BODYWORK: GETTING IN TOUCH WITH YOUR INNER SELF

A Natural Way to Heal

Cranial Structural: Welcome

CRANIAL STRUCTURAL

A Unique Approach

CORE DISTORTION

What is the Core Distortion?

The core distortion is an imbalance in the position and motion

of the cranial bones that create the anterior/posterior rotation

of the iliums (hips) that gives a tipped and unsupported sacrum.

This compensates the distortion in the bony structure of the body.

The distortion of the body creates an imbalance, strain, and weakness

in the structure.

When the Cranial Structural Core Distortion releases

are performed the core distortion in the cranium is

completely released.  The core distortion of

the cranium (head) will not return due to the

unwinding of old holding and movement

patterns and the holding of the soft

tissue is released.

the CD lessens the anterior posterior rotation of the iliums (hips) to provide support for the sacrum (lower back, base of spine).  The sacrum becomes more level and less tipped.  This offers the suppot for the entire spine.  Other bony structures of the body have fewer compensations and distortions because of the imbalance that had started with the cranium and produced the rotated iliums and tipped sacrum resulted in lack of weight bearing support in the SI joint which dramatically lessened.

CD Soft Tissue

When the CSCDR is applied and core distortion is released it brings back support in the bony structure, the old patterns in the soft tissue holdings of the core distortion will start to unwind and release within the body.  The soft tissue will unwind as far as it will release on its own, due to the nature of fascia and the ability to create structure within the body.

Other factors:

     Stress patterns

Chronically shortened tissues due to usage

     Overdeveloped muscles

     Old injury and scar tissue

     Adhesions between soft tissue

Emotional holding patterns that client hasn't released yet

A lot of the core distortion will remain in the muscle tissue even though the body is now in weight bearing support and most muscles operate at a higher degree of strength and function.

Even though the core distortion has been released from the cranium there is still an amount of core distortion in the soft tissue.  At this point we'll start to refer to the core distortion in the soft tissue.

The  soft tissue protocols

     1.  Head, Neck, and Shoulder

     2.  Pelvic Balancing

     3.  EVM

These soft tissue protocols will be applied multiple times to assist body unwinding out of the core distortion from releasing patterns of the core distortion from soft tissue.

Cranial Structural vs. Craniosacral

Cranial Structural is not the same as craniosacral.

Cranial Structural Offers

     1.  Mobilization

     2.  Re-balances the entire body structure

     3.  The cranial bones are used as handles to mobilize and release soft tissues of reciprocal tension membrane, dura, and myofascial planes that hold structural patterns of the cranium and the body.

Craniosacral offers

     1.  Mobilization of the cranium.  (Within soft tissue restrictions).

Other Cranial Structural Protocols

     Quick Release

     Cranial/Structural Frontal/Occipital Decompression

     Cranial/Structural Therapeutic Decompression

The CSCDR protocol is a long-term structural chance.  These will release restrictions in soft tissue holding patterns, specifically of the cranium and sphenobasilar synchondrosis, mechanical restrictions, and fluid and energy congestion.
